Claire

Hello, my name is Claire. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in December of 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Marketing. However, my passion since a very young age has been working with dogs and other animals; and I adore nothing more! I started by doing mid-day walks and taking care of dogs and other animals while families were away or at work for long hours. Since then, it has turned into the best career for me. I have had animals since the day I was born-two yellow Labrador Retrievers as well as a rabbit, that have since passed. In February 2023 I rescued a 5 year old Tabby named Kate whose owner could no longer care for her! I also have two children, a daughter Charlotte and a son Robert.

In December of 2010, I began working at the North Shore Doggy Daycare. I love working here; I learn something new every day, see a new furry face-everyone is so different than the next-and I get to play and take care of dogs as my job! What more could I ask for? Thanks to Diane, she also allowed me to take a class for Pet First-Aid, which has come in handy and taught me so many things that I can use at work as well as at home with my own animals. I have also had the pleasure of working at the North Shore Pet Connection, which has improved my experience with special needs animals as well as caring for other animals such as cats, ferrets, and birds!

In June of 2012, Diane promoted me to manager of the North Shore Doggy Daycare and in October of 2023 I was promoted to manager of North Shore Pet Connection as well! Now, not only do I get to care for dogs, I get to care for cats & other small animals….and I also get to interact one-on-one with customers, give customers tours, market the doggy daycare & pet connection and many other exciting things. My managerial position has also allowed me to utilize my marketing degree, enhance my computer skills, and learn new managerial-type skills such as payroll. I am eager and happy to come to work every day and thank goodness I have a job with so many different facets and opportunities.

Faith

Hello, I’m Faith! Before working at North Shore Doggy Daycare, I worked at another doggie daycare for over six years. I am Pet First Aid and CPR certified and have taken many continuing education seminars on dog behaviors, training, group play, etc. Before that, I worked in retail as well as in the Equestrian and pre-school program, at camp Minikani.

I have loved all kinds of critters for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a small hobby farm with a pony, dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and ducks–always bringing home strays and trying to mend the injured. I guess it’s easy to say…I sure love animals!

I joined the army after high school and served overseas during my tour. I then attended Hesser College in New Hampshire and took courses in Psychology.

My husband and I are both army veterans, have been married for over fifteen years, and have four children–all grown and living on their own, and one beautiful granddaughter. We currently live in Jackson with our Alaskan Malamute, Timber, and two domestic cats named Jasper and Butkus. Timber is CGC Certified and also a certified therapy dog. I am also a huge horse lover! So, we have one horse–Encore a Mustang that we adopted from South Dakota and we also had Bear a Paint horse with many medical issues, that passed away recently.

My hobbies include: going for hikes with our dog, spending lots of quality time with our granddaughter, and taking our Harley out for long rides on a beautiful day!

Sarah

Hello everyone! My name is Sarah and I have absolutely loved all animals, plants, and nature for my entire life! As a child, I was called the “animal person” because animals of all kinds would flock to me. I have had all sorts of pets; including dogs, cats, bunnies, gerbils, hamsters, frogs, toads, and more. I started working at North Shore Doggy Daycare in January 2020 and have since obtained my Pet First Aid & CPR certification!

Prior to that, I worked at the Furpurrsons Pet Resort near Mount Shasta. I have also spent time as an in-home pet sitter. I love hanging out with all the pups at North Shore Doggy Daycare and am looking forward to meeting you and spending quality time with your pet!

Nichole

Hi there, my name is Nichole. I’ve been around animals since I was an infant, and am very happy to have the opportunity to work at North Shore Doggy Daycare! I’m pretty shy so I’m not much of a people person, but working with all the wonderful dogs here comes so easily to me!

When I was a young girl I wanted to be a Veterinarian, but now I enjoy working in a doggie daycare setting much more! I love spending time and playing with all the happy and healthy pups that come in for daycare and overnight stays.

When I was in high school, I helped reunite two lost dogs with their owners. Seeing how happy the family was to have their precious canine companions back in their lives brought a new warmth to my heart. It’s the same feeling I get when all the dogs at NSDD are thrilled to see me when I get to work… as well as how happy they are when their owners come back to pick them up after a fun day of play or a sleepover! I’ve realized how important dogs are to me and want them to be a huge part of my life.

I have one dog of my own, a Beagle mix named Bailey who enjoys playing at NSDD too! In my free time, I love to draw and do other art and I also really enjoy playing video games!

Izzy

Hi, I’m Izzy! I graduated from Whitefish Bay High School in 2023 and I LOVE DOGS! My experience from volunteering at the Wisconsin Humane Society as well as volunteering at North Shore Doggy Daycare for about two years has taught me so many valuable things about dogs. I also have my own pet-sitting and dog-walking business on the side!

While I was still in high school, I decided to volunteer at North Shore Doggy Daycare. I had such a wonderful time meeting so many different dogs and spending time with them, that I decided to apply for a job here after my volunteering experience was over. I’m so thankful I was given the opportunity to work at both North Shore Doggy Daycare and North Shore Pet Connection in May of 2023.

I have always had a strong bond with any dog I meet. I have such love and respect for them. I am the proud owner of two Old English Sheepdogs of my own. Oh, and I also have eight siblings!!

I just love playing and caring for all the pups at NSDD and NSPC and most importantly always keeping them safe and happy. I look forward to going to work every day and seeing all of my friends, and being introduced to new, furry pals. Dogs are my passion and I promise to care for yours the way I care for mine!

Emily

Hi, I’m Emily! I am the Assistant Manager of NSPC & NSDD. I was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, but moved to Wisconsin when I was 4 years old. Now, I live in Germantown which is also where I grew up. I have a smart and beautiful daughter named Olivia, a loving fiancé named Brandon and the sweetest, cutest and most affectionate Tabby cat named Adley. All of them are my whole world and more!

I have been an animal lover my entire life. I was always around dogs, cats, horses, and other animals! When I was little, I remember watching animal cops Houston and always wanting to be an animal cop rescue officer. I couldn’t stand seeing hurt and neglected animals!

I also grew up riding horses at Camp Minikani where I fell in love with all the camp ponies! I even was lucky enough to have my family adopt a mustang from Nevada. His name was Guardian, and he was the sweetest boy who taught me a lot under the saddle! Sadly, he passed away at 8 years old, but I cherished every day I had with him.

After high school, I graduated from cosmetology school. I learned a lot and loved doing hair, but always felt like something was missing! I then worked in the food and customer service world where I was promoted to a product control specialist and a manager…but I knew my heart wasn’t all there. I knew I needed to make a change and find a job where I was truly happy! My lovely mom Faith, who works at NSDD, mentioned this job opening at NSPC for assistant manager. I didn’t hesitate at all and jumped on this wonderful opportunity, and I couldn’t be prouder of myself for doing so! I love waking up and getting excited to go to work. I can’t wait to get here and see all your amazing pups, kitties, and small critters every day! They truly are a blessing to work with and make this “job” not feel like a job, but more like a hobby! I learn something new about these wonderful animals every day and am lucky enough to be CPR certified as well!

Thank you for sharing your furry loved ones big & small with me! They are all in good hands and surrounded by love here at the North Shore Pet Care Campus! I can’t wait to grow and learn more and more each day with the staff and animals!

Joseph

Hello my name is Joseph!
I’ve lived in the North Shore area all my life and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. I have also been fortunate enough to know Diane most of my life, which has given me the opportunity and joy to be surrounded by dogs all the time.

Growing up, it was so rewarding to come and help Diane and the staff care for the animals at NSDD and NSPC when I was not in school and now I couldn’t imagine a life not seeing my fur friends everyday. I pride myself on the connections I create with animals and find working with them the most rewarding part of my day.

NSDD & NSPC have quickly become a second home for me! All of my colleagues are so welcoming, supportive, and helpful. I have the upmost respect for each and everyone of them. They have inspired me to learn all I can about dogs. cats, and other pets and have instilled goals in me to hopefully add a plethora of qualifications to my skill set. I now have my first aid and CPR certification as well!

Working here has really given me knowledge and opportunities that I will use for the rest of my life! In the fall of 2024, I decided that I needed a pet of my own and adopted a 7 year old Shih Tzu, Poodle mix. She is such a joy in my life!

I look forward to meeting all of you and spending time learning about and loving on your pets!

Glenn

Hi, I’m Glenn!

I have done many things in my lifetime! Right out of school I joined the Navy and traveled all over the world. After I finished with the Navy, I went on to study Child Care and Development & obtained my Associate Degree. I also had an interest in Patternmaking during this time, and did an apprenticeship for that.

However, I always adored animals and felt there was a void in my life that needed to be fulfilled with something new. I wanted to do something different & fun! Because of my love for animals and not growing up with many pets and not being around animals much, I decided to try it out! I started to learn about dogs and cats, started spending time with them, and grew to love them even more!

Now, over a decade later I am still enjoying life working with animals! I retired in recent years, but believe it is important to stay active and busy! Thanks to North Shore Pet Connection, I’m able to stay active and love & care for animals every day. What more could I ask for? I’m also fortunate enough to have obtained my Pet First Aid and CPR certification while working here!

Liana

Hello, my name is Liana. I was born and raised in New York City. I graduated with an AAS in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College in 2019, while I was a full-time high school student! I received my associate degree before my high school diploma. Then, I went on to obtain my B.S. in Animal Sciences at SUNY College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill. I graduated from there in 2022.

Ever since I was a little girl, my family has known my passion and love for animals. My favorite animals have always been dogs and horses. There’s something about those animals that catches my eye and makes me want to be around them and learn everything there is to know about them. I always rode horses growing up and I grew up with family that always had dogs.

While going to college, I spent a lot of time learning about and surrounded by all different kinds of animals such as dogs and livestock. I worked with sheep, goats, pigs, and cows (both dairy and beef). I also rode horses during the entire time I was in school for my bachelor’s degree. I rode horses for intercollegiate horse shows and participated in competitions! I learned so much during my time with the animals, which ultimately made me even more of an animal lover than I already was!

I currently have two dogs of my own; a Husky named Khaleesi and a Shih Tzu named Milo. They are both balls of energy and always want to play with one another. They’re the apple of my eye!

I started working at North Shore Pet Connection in late 2023, and it’s been wonderful to see that I am surrounded by and work with people who share the same love and passion for animals that I do! I’ve learned even more about dogs, cats, and other household pets and am proud to say that I’m also pet first-aid certified now!

Amber

Howdy! My name is Amber and I’m a lead at NSPC!

I surprisingly grew up without many pets (except my mom’s pet lionfish Ceaser), but despite that I’ve always had a love for animals! My first real experience with animals was when I worked for a large vet clinic, while attending Animal Behavioral College. There, I obtained my Veterinary Assistant Certification in 2020 (Where I was first aid and CPR certified). I went on to do an internship and got to experience many amazing things in the veterinary field!

After my internship, I worked at a vet clinic for a couple years and even got my first dog during that time, Faye Valentine! She was born with a heart defect and I made sure to do everything I could to care for her– she was my entire world. Over the years she never left my side, she was the sweetest dog and my whole family adored her! I was so lucky to have had so many great memories with her in such a short amount of time. Ultimately, her heart condition took her in 2022 at 3 years old.

In 2022-2025 I explored another career I was interested in…Funeral Service. As much as I enjoyed this new career path, my heart always brought me back to animals! Thus lead me to here! Knowing I get care for animals with special needs, similar to the situation I went through with Faye, brings me so much joy. I get to help other animals and honor Faye while doing it.

Anyways, outside of being a workaholic I do have other interests. I love Musical Theatre, Art and Animation, Video Games, and Reading (Mostly Non-fiction).

Rhonda

Hello, I’m Rhonda. I am a certified groomer at North Shore Doggy Daycare and North Shore Pet Connection. I have over 25 years of experience working with dogs and cats in various grooming businesses.

I have worked for the Wisconsin Humane Society, Petland, and as a caretaker for horses at The Ranch and Erin Meadows Farm.

Put simply, I love all animals…any size, age, temperament, or special needs.

Megan

Hi everyone! My name is Megan. I’ve been working with dogs since before I graduated high school and I’m so grateful to be a groomer here at North Shore Doggy Daycare now!

I started out as a bather and overnight boarding supervisor at a shop in Cedarburg, and was able to learn many grooming skills early on being surrounded by experienced groomers.
In the Summer of 2021, I worked at NSDD as a daycare supervisor and was fortunate enough to meet many of your wonderful dogs. Now, I get to know them as their groomer too!

I have always loved animals and always had a dog or cat with me while I was growing up.
Right now, I live with my family dog Tori, a Husky mix who we rescued as a puppy and Maggie Rose, a Terrier mix who we adopted privately a few years ago. I am always so happy to come to work every day and spend time pampering your pups!
